Tara Jane ONeil - “Rainbow Connection” PREMIERE
TJO is one of my personal favorites (have you ever seen her play live?? It’s life changing) and I am in love with her new 7”, out May 22nd.
In a surprisingly sweet pop tribute, she plays “Rainbow Connection,” a song we all innately know from our youth, and a song she considers to be the unofficial gay anthem of the US. Actually, I remember sitting on a cold basement floor not long ago singing along with three dozen people as TJ performed this rendition live.
Everytime I hear this song I think “Yes, I do still believe in magic. I do.” It’s like being a six year old star gazer all over again.
